The Internet is more than just a network, Internet is an idea, a philosophy, a way a life. Even the word: Internet is commonly used to name the World Wide Web, its technical, economical and ideological meaning contains much more. As being part of the Internet, I would like to adress these issues, to show how easy is it to take part of this adventure. I'd like that more and more people understand what is the Internet, and realise that Google, Facebook, Twiter and co. have nothing to do with the Internet, and eventually that on some aspects they are even the opposite. The Internet is much more than the Web : Internet is big, complex and it is ours, every one can own it, you can be part of it. I would like to convinced you that Internet is a great tool and that using it can have a huge impact on on our society.
In order to discuss this topics, we decided, in colaboration with KUZE (Kultur Zentrum) a student bar in Potsdam, to organise a conference cycle consisting of four presentations of one hour, taking place in the theater room of KUZE on the 24.09, 8.10, 22.10 and 5.11 at 20:00.
