In this talk we are going to discuss, the impact of the internet on the virtual world. Indeed Internet, is not only a network, but also an idea, and its evolution is closly linked to the free software community. Hence, we are going to explore the history of the free as in freedom movement. Closely link to that we are going to have a short overview on copyleft as well as Creative Common, and see how their development is closely linked to the development of the internet. Finally, we will go through a few FSF software which can be used as alternative to closed softwares.
